IT support for small law firms.

Your firm runs on confidential documents, email, and deadlines that do not move. When a computer or account stops working, an attorney stops billing. We keep the technology behind the practice steady so your team can focus on clients.

What is different about your work

Client confidentiality

Client files and email need to stay private. We help control who can open what, turn on stronger sign-in protection, and protect email against fake messages that try to steal passwords or redirect payments.

Working from anywhere

Attorneys work from court, home, and client offices. We help set up safe access to files and email from laptops and phones, and remove access quickly when someone leaves.

Deadlines do not wait

When something breaks before a filing, you need a person, not a ticket queue. We answer, work the problem, and tell you plainly what happened.

What we handle

Managed IT support built around your office.

This is the same ongoing support described on our small business IT support page, shaped around how law firms work.

TODO: Confirm the legal software BBComputing regularly supports (for example practice-management or document tools) before naming any.

  • Day-to-day helpdesk for attorneys, paralegals, and staff
  • Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace setup and support for the email, calendar, and shared-file tools your firm uses
  • Protection against phishing (fake emails designed to steal logins or money)
  • Backups of email and shared files with a tested way to recover them
  • Stronger sign-in protection (a second step beyond the password) on business accounts
  • Coordination with the vendors of your practice-management, billing, and document software
  • Setup and removal of access as people join and leave the firm

Questions

Questions from law firms

Do you work with the legal software we already use?

We coordinate with the companies behind your practice-management, billing, and document tools so you do not have to. We support the computers, accounts, and access around that software, and we contact the vendor when the problem is on their side.

Can you help protect client information?

Yes. We focus on the basics that matter most: stronger sign-in protection, controlling who can reach which files, email protection, keeping computers updated, and backups you can actually recover from.

Do you support firms without an office?

Yes. Many of the teams we support are partly or fully remote. We support attorneys and staff wherever they work.
